Studio Day
You have an in-house editor, or you are hiring one. They are capable, but their work does not yet match the standard you want. Studio Day is a one-off setup: we install our templates, our workflow and our quality bar, so what they ship looks like what we ship.
Where Studio Day Fits
Studio Day is for the moment you have decided to keep editing in-house but still want it to look like ours. Most in-house editors are not stuck for lack of talent; they are stuck because nobody handed them a system. There is no style guide, no project template, no checklist to ship against, so every video is reinvented and quality drifts with the mood of the week. This is the one-off setup that ends that drift: we install the same templates, workflow and quality bar our own editors run on, then hand the engine to your team to keep. If you would rather we keep producing the videos for you instead, that is a different conversation, and we will point you to it below.
What Is Included, and What Is Not
✓What Is Included
A one-off install of the system your editor runs on, set up around your tools.
- A brand style guide your team edits against, so every video is on-brand
- Project and editing templates for Final Cut Pro or Premiere, ready to open
- A workflow setup: file naming, folders, hand-off and export presets
- A quality checklist every video ships against before it goes live
- An editor guide that documents how we do it and why, so a new hire can pick it up
- If you also shoot in-house, we set the capture standard with you and can film alongside your team so the footage matches the edit
→What Is Not
This sets your team up once; it does not run the channel for you.
- Content Engine if you would rather we edit every video for you, end to end
- Production Support for ongoing senior reviews after the setup
- Recruiting the editor (we tell you exactly what to look for, but you make the hire)
- A long shoot schedule (when you want us behind the camera regularly, see Filming & Videography)
Five Moves, and Your Editor Is Set Up
One focused engagement, not a retainer. We learn your setup, build the system around your tools and brand, then walk your editor through it so they can run it without us in the room.
Book a CallWe Study Your Current Output
You send us recent videos and tell us who edits them and where the work falls short today. We watch with the same eye we use on our own team and name the exact gaps.
We Scope the Install
We map your tools, your brand and how your editor works, then decide exactly what the setup needs to cover so it fits the way your team already operates.
We Build the System
We create the style guide, the project and editing templates, the file and hand-off workflow, the export presets and the quality checklist, all set up inside your editor.
We Walk Your Editor Through It
We sit with your editor and run the system live, video by video, so the templates and the checklist are muscle memory before we leave, not a document they never open.
You Own the Engine
The guide, templates and checklist are yours to keep. Your editor ships to a senior standard, and a future hire can pick up the same system without starting from a blank page.
We are not writing your editor a theory of editing. We are installing the exact system we run every day.
The Real System, Not a Watered-Down Version
Your editor gets the same templates, presets and checklist our own editors open every morning. Nothing is generalized for a handout; it is the working setup.
Standards Written Down, Not Trapped in Heads
The quality bar stops being a feeling one senior person holds. It becomes a checklist your team ships against, so quality survives a busy week or a new hire.
Built Around Your Tools and Your Brand
We set it up in Final Cut Pro or Premiere, in your folder structure, against your brand. It fits how your team already works rather than forcing a switch.
You Keep the Engine When We Leave
This is a one-off, not a dependency. You own the guide and templates outright, and your editor can run them long after the engagement ends.
See the Gap Before You Commit
Send one of your editor's recent videos. We send back a personal teardown that shows exactly where the output sits versus the standard, so you know what a Studio Day would actually fix.
What the Teardown Covers
- Where your editor's work already meets a senior standard
- The single biggest gap holding the output back today
- Which fixes a Studio Day would install for your team
- Whether a setup or done-for-you editing is the better fit
Your Risk on a Studio Day Is Covered
No Open-Ended Engagement
We scope the exact deliverables and timeline with you on the call before anything starts. You know what your team walks away with, and there is no rolling retainer to cancel.
Your Free Audit Counts
Start with a Free Video Audit first. If you decide to go ahead with a Studio Day, that audit credit carries forward, so the read on your output is never wasted.
